Great news comes for the province of El Oro with the announcement of the execution of two emblematic works that will mark a milestone in the history of the development of this province, thanks to the financial support of the Development Bank of Ecuador BP, for nearly USD 2 million .

With the presence of Carlos Rivera Bautista, general manager of BDE BP; Clemente Bravo Riofrío, prefect of the province of El Oro; Jovanny Coronel, mayor of Pasaje; Carlos Aguilar, mayor of Zaruma and Viviana Borja, manager of the Litoral Branch of the BDE BP, among other authorities, the events of laying the first stones of two projects financed by the Development Bank of Ecuador BP were held, which will improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the city of Zaruma and the Pasaje canton.

In search of enriching the cultural and tourist heritage of the city of Zaruma, the BDE BP provides financing in the amount of USD. 912,145.36, for the construction of the Parque Mirador del Sitio La Colina and the construction of the swing in the San Francisco sector, a work that will provide recreational spaces for the canton and the province, which will contribute to tourist, economic, and commercial development , social and cultural for the benefit of approximately 25 thousand inhabitants.

“Zaruma is a magical and beautiful city, which has spectacular tourism potential. Please know, Mr. Prefect, that they will have the full support of the BDE to continue growing. I am sure that this will be the first of the many works that will be crystallized,” said Carlos Rivera, general manager of the BDE BP.

While, in order to improve the connectivity and economic development of the Pasaje canton, the rehabilitation and improvement of the Palenque – Campo Real road will be carried out, with a length of 2.88 km, a work that will be financed by USD. 1,162,773.64.

The project will reduce travel times between the cantons, neighboring parishes and the benefited rural populations, reducing the costs of operation and maintenance of vehicles, and increasing and improving the transportation of agricultural production in the areas of influence, as well as, enhance the tourist places that exist in Campo Real.

The financing of these projects is another example that the National Government, through the BDE BP, is committed to the implementation of large works that seek to improve the quality of life of Ecuadorians and the progress of each of the country’s provinces.
