Naranjito (Guayas).- With the purpose of guaranteeing the quality of life of the inhabitants, and offering better services to users through roads in good condition that facilitate vehicular access, the Development Bank of Ecuador BP, granted financing to the Government Autonomous Decentralized Municipal of Naranjito for USD 1.1 million to improve road infrastructure.
The general manager of the BDE BP, Eco. Carlos Rivera Bautista, and the mayor of Naranjito, Cristian Suárez Peñafiel, signed the financing document for the “Construction of sidewalks, curbs and asphalt in various sectors of the city of Naranjito in the Naranjito canton, province of Guayas”, which will benefit more than 46 thousand inhabitants.
The project includes the intervention of 2.4 km of roads, where the construction of sidewalks, curbs, gutters, 2-inch asphalt layer, pavement structure, improvement of the existing storm sewage infrastructure, sanitary sewage and water system will be carried out. drinking water, as well as horizontal and vertical signage.
The execution of this work will improve mobility, production and commerce activities; as well as travel times, encouraging the economic reactivation of the canton. In addition, it is expected to reduce by 70% the expenses caused by mechanical damage to vehicles that travel on the project streets.
Another benefit is the 60% reduction in expenses avoided with medical care due to sources of infection caused in winter by puddles of water; and in summer, by columns of dust, which cause respiratory diseases in the inhabitants of this sector.
The event was attended by Martha Pazmiño, vice mayor of Naranjito; Viviana Borja, manager of the Litoral Branch of the BDE BP; councilors Fernando Vega, Harol León, Washington Orozco and Ángel Córdova; Irene Punín, general manager of the Guayas South Central Transit Association; José Veintimilla, head of the district of the Ecuadorian Transit Commission (CTE) Naranjito – Marcelino Maridueña; Wellington Granda, chief of the Naranjito Police district – Marcelino Maridueña; and Juan Carlos Ullauri, head of the Fire Department.
Carlos Rivera, general manager, reaffirmed his commitment to continue providing support for the execution of projects at the national level, actions that support the work of the National Government through the BDE BP, to finance works that improve the quality of life of Ecuadorians.
