The BDR killing was a very shocking and despicable incident. Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin, a member of the BNP Standing Committee, said that this massacre was carried out to make Bangladesh a failed and ineffective state.
He made this comment while talking to reporters on Tuesday (September 3).
Major Hafiz said, BDR’s murder happened after the Awami League government came to power. Whether there was any foreign power intervention in this incident or not, remains unclear. The Chief Counsel has been spoken to to investigate what led to the murder. Memorandum has also been given to him.
The current interim government has already started working to unravel the mystery of this murder. He also thanked them for that.
Stating that this killing was a very shameful event in history, this leader of BNP said that this killing was carried out to make Bangladesh a failed and ineffective state. We believe that the Awami League government is directly involved in this incident with the intervention of foreign powers.
He said, we expected this murder to be prosecuted. But it was not done during the Awami government. Now is the chance. We are hopeful that it will now be properly investigated and judged.
