President Andrés Manuel López Obrador asked for “close attention” on the issue of accusations of alleged corruption against the governor of Nuevo Leon, Samuel Garcia.
This Wednesday, when questioned about the alleged triangulations that García Sepúlveda and his family would have made for around 200 million pesos through payments from his administration to an office managed by his family, the outgoing president said that:
“Well, any type of tax evasion or fraud must be investigated and punished, that is part of the fight against corruption (…) in this case of Nuevo Leon, to clarify (…) we must not get carried away, we must be careful; as we used to say when I worked at IMCO, be careful, be very careful, because there are those interests.”

This, because according to López Obrador, the northern leader has faced a charge from the PRI and the PAN with the support of the media to try to remove him from his position, and as an example of this he indicated that:
“They didn’t approve the budget and it’s been two years since they approved the budget, and the campaign is tough. So, we have to be careful.”
And he stressed that, based on the information he has, they have tried bribe him In order to approve resources for him, “the leaders of the other parties asked for bribes.”
