Receiving the workers of Fraterna Domus, the public organization of social workers of the Diocese of Rome, at the Vatican, Pope Francis commended them for continuing their work of hospitality and highlighted the importance of treating others as brothers.

The Pope reminded people of the Fraterna Domus group, a public social service group of the Diocese of Rome, who are participating in a conference called the Chair of Hospitality, at the Vatican on Thursday, March 9, at the Vatican, reminding them of the importance of hospitality to others in a spirit of brotherhood.

Referring to his own encyclical Fratelli Tutti, the Pope said we need to understand the importance of hospitality for an open world. Rather than seeking attention from others, the Pope appreciated the work done by this social service organization in developing a culture of hospitality to others through various activities and training sessions. The Pope reminded us that in order to create hospitality, it is important to think about hospitality. But the Holy Father added that this is not only at the level of thought but also at the level of action.

In addition to the third chapter of Fratelli Tutti, the Pope exhorted us to grow into a global community. Love leads us to gradual opening. Based on paragraph 141 of his encyclical, the Pope said that the true characteristic of a nation is to think as a human family rather than as a nation. The Pope exhorted us to accept people for who they are rather than what they can give us. Therefore, the Pope added, we should grow towards accepting others unconditionally.
