Beast, directed by Nelson Dileep Kumar and starring Dalpati Vijay, has been a hot topic since its announcement. The film is set to release in theaters on April 13. The film was banned in Kuwait yesterday. Now the Muslim League has demanded that the show ‘Beasti’ be banned in Tamil Nadu. Muslim League Tamil Nadu president VMS Mustafa has written to state home secretary SK Prabhakar in this regard.

In the letter, Mustafa alleges that the film portrays Muslims as extremists. That is how Muslims are traditionally portrayed in movies. “It is unfortunate that films like ‘Bombing’ and ‘Shootings’ are distorted in such a way that only ‘Beast’ will be shown in Tamil Nadu, which will lead to an extraordinary situation,” the letter said.

Pooja Hegde will play the lead role in ‘Beastie’ starring Vijay after the master directed by Lokesh Kanakaraj. Malayalee actor Shine Tom Chacko is also in the lead role in the film.
