(Lyon, January 21, 2026) — Béatrice Tourette has been appointed regional delegate of La Poste for the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, effective January 2, 2026, succeeding Mylène Franceschi.

Tourette will oversee the operations of the postal service in one of France’s most economically dynamic regions, managing relationships with institutions and coordinating the activities of La Poste’s various branches.

  • Béatrice Tourette is the new regional delegate for La Poste in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
  • She succeeds Mylène Franceschi, who is moving to the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.
  • Tourette brings extensive experience in La Poste’s financial, banking, and commercial operations.
  • Her appointment comes as La Poste undergoes a period of transformation, focusing on diversification and digital services.

An Auvergne Native Returns to the Region

A graduate of accounting and financial studies from Claude-Bernard Lyon I University, Tourette has a long history with La Poste, according to the company. She began her career in Lyon, holding financial and accounting positions before moving to her native Auvergne region.

In Auvergne, she held several commercial management positions in Cantal and Puy-de-Dôme. She later directed the banking activities of La Banque Postale relationship and expertise center in Clermont-Ferrand before being appointed regional delegate for the La Poste group in Centre-Val de Loire.

Her return to Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, where La Poste maintains 2,300 points of contact, occurs during a period of significant change for the group, marked by diversification, digital transition, and a focus on providing local services, La Poste stated.

La Poste represents a workforce of 238,000 employees, including 27,000 direct and indirect jobs within the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Why It Matters

Tourette’s appointment signals a continued emphasis on regional expertise within La Poste’s leadership structure. Her prior experience in both Auvergne and Centre-Val de Loire suggests a focus on understanding the specific needs of local communities. This is particularly relevant as La Poste navigates a changing landscape, expanding beyond traditional mail services to offer financial products, digital solutions, and support for local businesses. The company’s ongoing transformation requires leaders who can effectively balance national strategy with regional implementation, and Tourette’s background positions her to do just that.
