The organizers of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel presented their concept. The Swiss ESC should be colorful, warm and modern. This is the first information.
The host broadcaster SRG revealed the first details about ESC 2025 on Monday. In addition to the classic ESC logo with a heart and the Swiss flag, it also has its own logo. A thick red block of color that dissolves up into very small hearts. The design was presented by art director Artur Deyneuve. Listening and loving is the motto. Inspired by Switzerland’s democracy and multilingualism, says Deyneuve.
Basel wants to present itself as modern and traditional at the ESC
The ESC should be on May 17, 2025 in St. Jakobshalle in Basel colorful and modern. In the first promotional video, a stage with mountains and lots of light can be seen. In addition to electro beats, traditional Swiss trademarks will play a role, for example Italian or traditional clothing.
The Basel region looks forward to the long-term effects of the ESC
The President of the Basel District, Conradin Cramer, hopes that the ESC 2025 will be a great advantage for the city. With full hotels and restaurants, Basel can win as a European cultural city, Cramer said. It is hoped that the city and the region will be put on the world map in the long term. During the ESC there will be boulevards, public viewing and event stages in the city area. Weil am Rhein, a town nearby Basel, is also planning concerts and public viewings.

Tickets for the ESC in Basel can be bought from the end of January
If you want to buy tickets for ESC 2025, you need to register in advance on a website. Only those who are registered will be able to buy tickets from January 2025, according to the organizers. This is intended to eliminate resellers and bots. Tickets for the final show should cost up to 350 francs (around 372 euros).

ESC is based in Switzerland
The makers of the ESC also want to remember the origins of the competition. The first European singing competition was held in Switzerland in 1956. The second Swiss event took place in Lausanne in 1989. After Nemo’s victory in Malmö, Sweden in 2024 with the song “The Code”, the ESC is now coming to Switzerland for the third time. Artists from 38 countries are scheduled to perform.
