BECOMING to Release New “Wish” Video and Announces “Consciousness Revolution” Album Featuring Metal Heavyweights

A revitalized message of unity and self-responsibility is on the horizon as multi-instrumentalist Jason Hardouin’s project, BECOMING, prepares to premiere a new version of their impactful song “Wish” this Thanksgiving weekend. The forthcoming video serves as a powerful call for humanity to overcome negativity, division, and blame, bolstered by appearances from prominent figures in the metal community and beyond who initially participated in the 2022 #WishChallenge.

Originally featured on BECOMING’s 2020 album, “In The Name Of God”, described as “a prayer for humanity while finding the God within, beyond organized religions,” “Wish” evolved into a direct appeal for positive action. The song encourages listeners to abandon blame and instead extend goodwill towards all people.

Since its initial release in 2022, the first “Wish” video has resonated globally, garnering over 15 million views across social media platforms and establishing itself as a beacon of hope. The 2025 iteration of the video is designed to reflect the current global climate, delivering a timely message of anti-hate, gratitude, and peace.

“‘Wish’ is about self-responsibility, taking ownership and action in your life, and not blaming others for your issues,” Hardouin explained. “It’s about wishing everyone well and rejecting hate in a fun uplifting way — a message that couldn’t be more relevant today.”

The video will showcase cameo appearances from artists and cultural icons who embraced the song’s spirit through the #WishChallenge in 2022, including: “The Metal Ambassador” Jose Mangin (SiriusXM radio personality), Phil Demmel (KERRY KING, CATEGORY 7, MACHINE HEAD, VIO-LENCE), Jason Bittner (SHADOWS FALL, CATEGORY 7, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, OVERKILL), Doc Coyle (GOD FORBID, ICE NINE KILLS, BAD WOLVES), Tommy Chong (Cheech & Chong), Steve “Zetro” Souza (EXODUS, LEGACY), Otep Shamaya (OTEP), Andreas Kisser (SEPULTURA), Derrick Green (SEPULTURA), Corey Beaulieu (TRIVIUM), Bootsy Collins (James Brown, PARLIAMENT-FUNKADELIC, P-FUNK, PRAXIS), Chris Kontos (FORBIDDEN, MACHINE HEAD, ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT), Max Cavalera (CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, SEPULTURA, SOULFLY), and Igor Cavalera (CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, SEPULTURA).

Several of these collaborators also lent their talents to BECOMING’s upcoming full-length album, “Consciousness Revolution”, scheduled for release in 2026. The album promises to amplify BECOMING’s core message through a diverse range of musical contributions.

The tracklist for “Consciousness Revolution” boasts an impressive roster of guest musicians, including: Jason Bittner (SHADOWS FALL, CATEGORY 7, OVERKILL, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM), Stix Zadinia (STEEL PANTHER), Mike Terrana (Tarja, Yngwie Malmsteen, Kiko Loureiro, Tony MacAlpine), Cesar Soto (MINISTRY, MAN THE MUTE, PISSING RAZORS), Doc Coyle (GOD FORBID, ICE NINE KILLS, BAD WOLVES), James Murphy (TESTAMENT, DEATH, OBITUARY), Phil Demmel (KERRY KING, CATEGORY 7, MACHINE HEAD, VIO-LENCE), and Jon Donais (ANTHRAX, SHADOWS FALL, LIVING WRECKAGE).

According to Hardouin, “Consciousness Revolution” explores the concept of human evolution, not through conventional avenues like politics or religion, but through heightened awareness, objective truth, self-determination, and the power of individual will. “It’s a sonic, self-actualizing, spiritual journey that invites everyone to raise the vibrations across the nations,” he stated.
