Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif performed a special pooja just before her birthday on Sunday at Mangaluru’s famous temple Kuttaru Koragajja temple. On this occasion, her husband Vicky Kaushal and Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty, their son Ahan, daughter Athiya and cricketer K.L. Rahul also performed pooja at the temple. Koragajja is a special folk deity worshipped in the coastal area of Karnataka and is quite popular in Mangaluru. The special thing is that people offer liquor and betel leaves to Koragajja folk deity.
Temple sources said that Suniel Shetty, who hails from Tulunadu region, along with his family members participated in the traditional ritual ‘Kola’ held in honour of the deity. While Katrina did not take part in the traditional ritual ‘Kola’, Rahul and Ahan took part in it.
