A new update to the Viajando application, a platform for booking interprovincial tickets, will be available in October, which includes improvements to speed up the purchase process.
According to specialists from the Transportation Information Services Company (Sitrans), developer of the APK, the update comes with “a renewed visual design and a new platform that will allow, among other benefits, to improve performance, accessibility and attendance at times of greatest use.”
The sixth version is related to the citizen’s single file, which will allow customers to save time when purchasing tickets, commented engineer Alejandro Rodríguez de la Cruz, leader of the project.
In addition, the sale of tickets for the ferry to the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud and self-confirmation are included, meaning that the person does not need to be at the terminal to be able to check their trip, as they can already do so from the APK itself.
Priority has also been given to a new information section on the ticket marketing process, which “will make it easier for the user to make decisions when making a trip,” the company describes.
One of the most immediate projections is that for the month of November it is planned to add Enzona so that electronic payment can be made through this gateway and not only through Transfermóvil.
The launch of the Viajando website is also planned, which will allow access to the online application to people who do not have a cell phone in the country.
Every day, through this APK, more than three thousand tickets are sold. From 2019 to date, the figure has exceeded three million. Of course, the demand for tickets is greater than the supply made through it, which oscillates at 48 percent of the total sales of the Viajeros company.
