Be “Brittany’s Ambassador”. But behind his “perfect” features on Instagram hides a resident of Finistère in professional retraining, who quite simply knows how to use artificial intelligence.
Last March, Sébastien K. created, according to his remarks to Ouest France, neither a model nor an influencer, but a character. “As in literature or cinema, except that its goal is to promote Brittany in all its forms”. Five months and 168 publications later, Anne Kerdi has more than 3,300 subscribers, even though she does not exist.
Publications, messages, comments… From his home, Sébastien K. lets artificial intelligence take care of everything from his database. Crêpes, Andouille de Guéméné, the most beautiful beaches, the Château de Fougères, everything goes there. “The only problem is that Anne invents when she does not know information… So I have to constantly check what she notes before publishing it on Instagram”, he explains to our colleagues.
“Brittany is synonymous with authenticity”
Using AI, the developer does not hide it at all on Anne Kerdi’s profile. It is well written from the first lines that it is a “Breton artificial intelligence”. Information repeated several times in posts like here: “As an AI, I will try to master the art of paddleboarding on the Breton ocean. Maybe I should add a few lines of code to balance my board”.
However, Internet users seem to be numerous to still be had. “You are very pretty”, “sublime”, “You are magnificent”, can we read on the publications (from often male profiles) where we see his computer-generated face.
A success that has attracted many Breton brands for partnerships, but also some critics. “Why did you create a young woman with an absolutely perfect model-like physique? asks, for example, a surfer on Instagram. “Brittany is synonymous with authenticity.
