Exclusive documentation in ‘Shabbat Square’: Film director Yehuda Grobeis, who recently finished shooting his film ‘The Forgotten Story’ about the Baal Shem Tov in Poland, continues with a comeback for another film that is currently being shot in Kfar Hashmonay.
The new film is based on the story of the Midrash about Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai – his life and period, and is shot in Kfar Hashmonay on an authentic set, with costumes specially imported from Rome and first-rate actors from Israel’s entertainment industry.
The film will star the celebrities: Maurice Cohen and his wife Rotem Zisman Cohen, Golan Azulai, Yishai Lapidot, Amiran Dvir, Shuki Salomon and Shai Abramson alongside dozens of ultra-Orthodox actors and extras.
