Bad news for Alan Varela and, consequently, for FC Porto. In the starting line-up for Boca Juniors against Independiente, the midfielder ended up leaving the pitch due to injury.

The 22-year-old player complained about his right calf and was substituted after the 71st minute. Apparently, the problem will not be serious, but the next few hours will help to understand the extent of the injury.

The Argentine is one of the goals of the blue and whites for this season, but Boca Juniors’ demands regarding payment deadlines and percentages to be retained for a future transfer have made it difficult to complete the deal.
