More than a hundred students participated in the opening ceremony of the sixth branch of the Itim Kollel network, for graduates of the yeshivot who work for a living, which was founded on Tuesday evening in the city of Beit Shemesh. The class was held at the Mishken Yisrael Synagogue on the third level in the city, with the participation of the network’s rabbis and students, and was dedicated to the ascension of the pure soul of the late Rabbi of the Torah, Garach Kanievsky.
The event opens at 21:00 in the evening with the evening prayer and after a short study order of half an hour. A ‘cheers’ class was then held, and words of encouragement were carried. The first speaker was Rabbi Aryeh Golobenzitz, who spoke in praise of the issue of “staying in the yeshiva” even when the constraints of life require integration into the employment market. He was followed by words of encouragement from Rabbi Menachem Weingarten, one of the network’s rabbis.
The rabbis of the branch, Rabbi Shraga Boyer, Rabbi Yitzchak Spiegel and Rabbi Yitzchak Pat, delivered a greeting, and at the end the head of the Kollels’ Itim network, Rabbi Yitzchak Elkayim, congratulated the rapid expansion of the Kollels network and noted with satisfaction the huge demand in all Across the country to open more branches.
Geri Elkayim also praised the activities of the members of the City Council on behalf of Degel HaTorah, and in particular Yossi Goldhirsh and Israel Silverstein, for their involvement and great help in establishing the branch.
The sixth branch was opened with the help of two well-known Torah supporters from the United States, and it joins the five active branches of the Itim kollel network throughout the country, some with the assistance of the Wolfson Foundation and the fund’s chairman in the Land, Rabbi Avraham Greenbaum In Bnei Brak, Elad, the Ahisamakh neighborhood in Lod and Beitar Illit.
