About 20 Beitar Jerusalem fans arrived this morning (Friday) at Beit Vagan and threw two firecrackers on the grass during the team’s practice. The fans shouted at the players: “You have no respect, we will be your nightmare.” After that, they went down to the grass and talked with the players.
“Against Maccabi Tel Aviv you did not pass the half, against Hapoel Jerusalem you did not make a single glitch, it will not continue like this. Where is your honor? We are Beitar Jerusalem. Do you not understand where you are? There are no glitches.” The players stood and listened and did not say a word.
One of the heads of the ‘La Familia’ organization, who spoke to the players on the pitch, told them: “When Barak Abramov bought the club we knew we would go into season two hard, but not in this way. Later, Beitar condemned what happened in training when it issued a statement that read: “We take seriously the outburst of fans today at the team’s training. During the last months, there is a regular, honest and real conversation with the fans, but at the same time we will not allow such events to repeat themselves. There is a way to protest, as has been the case since Barak Abramov became the club’s owner, but not like this. Since the beginning of the year, you have proven again and again how much you are the best fans in the country, who even in difficult times never stop supporting and coming and cheering. We need you also tomorrow in the game against Hadera, and we are sure that together we will get out of this period for a better future.”
By the way, for the avoidance of doubt, the professional staff and no one from the club approved the fans’ entry into the complex. They entered even before the professional team went up to the lawn and after they arrived and were about to finish things, the team arrived at the scene and the event ended.
In the meantime, Beitar Jerusalem striker Jordan Shua arrived at the training complex this morning and went to train as usual with the team as part of the preparations for the match against Hapoel Hadera tomorrow at 19:30. According to a source in the professional team, the player is even expected to be included in the squad for the game.
