How many Beitar fans will come? (Hagi Nizri)
At the first preparation meeting of the police in the Galilee area under the command of Inspector Victor Buskila, a principled decision was made to increase the security forces in order to maintain order in the game between Bnei Sakhnin and Jerusalem Beitar on Saturday (19:30) at the Doha Stadium. The first estimate is that 450 police officers and 130 bouncers will supervise the crowd of fans of both teams.
The meeting was attended by Sakhnin’s side, the director of the event, Mujib Zebidat, and the manager of the stadium, Ayman Abu Younes. Among the decisions made: Beitar players will arrive via the escape road accompanied by the police while the fans will come in private vehicles, unless they arrive by shuttle, in which case it will also be via the escape road.
In Sakhnin they don’t take risks and there will be very strict inspection circles at the entrances to the city. Also, the fans will have to arrive with tickets they purchased ahead of time. In the next two days, there will be a pre-sale – 4,400 tickets have been allocated to Sakhnin fans and up to 500 to Beitar fans. Sakhnin estimates that at best 300 Beitar fans will come after the disappointment of the 3:1 loss to Hapoel Tel Aviv.
On the professional level, at least at this stage there is no future thought about the next season and it seems that at the moment there is more hidden than visible both in the professional team that will lead the team and in the position of the players, most of whom are out of contract at the end of the season.
