Belarus announced the creation of anti-sanctions against the EU

by time news

Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko said that Minsk had prepared a set of measures in response to EU sanctions. According to him, the Belarusian authorities expect that the West will come to its senses and refuse to use prohibitive measures.

However, if this does not happen, Belarus is ready to switch to Asian technologies in response to Western sanctions, Golovchenko said.

He added that Minsk will defend its claim for compensation in court after the incident with the Ryanair plane. At the moment, the Belarusian authorities estimate the country’s long-term losses from Western sanctions at 2.9% of GDP.
