Belarus is sending powerful military equipment to Russia – the reasons for this have been named

by times news cr

Among the equipment sent are the BM-30 Smerch missile systems, which have an effective range of approximately 90 km.

An official statement from the Ministry of Defense of Belarus indicated that these multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), together with the crews of missile forces and artillery units, are being sent to the Russian range for combat exercises.

This shipment of military equipment to Russia highlights the fact that Belarus, without large-scale ranges, continues to rely on Russian military support, especially for long-range system testing and soldier training.

It is worth noting that the head of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, who maintains close ties with the Kremlin, previously ordered the transfer of military equipment from operating Belarusian units to Russian forces. This decision was announced after reports that Belarus is reducing its military stockpile.

Sources in the Ministry of Defense of Belarus confirmed to journalists that Russia requested the transfer of this equipment after the successful Ukrainian offensive in the Kursk region. The Russian military has reportedly faced severe shortages of weapons and heavy equipment in the region, further complicating its challenges on the battlefield.
