The Belarusian national company “Belavia” informed that two new flights to Russia will appear at the end of March and the beginning of April.

As reported on the company’s official website, direct flights from Goml to St. Petersburg will be operated from March 22, and from Brest to Moscow from March 3.

There will be flights to Moscow on Wednesdays and Saturdays on the Embraer-175 plane, and to St. Petersburg on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays (the make of the planes is not specified).

From 2021, when the Ryanair plane was forcibly landed at Minsk airport, European airlines stopped flying over Belarus, and Western countries closed their skies to Belarusian planes. Eurocontrol limited the flights of European civil aviation in the airspace of Belarus until 2029.

Last year, the Turkish air carrier Southwind Airlines returned to Belarus, and from December 15, 2023, it started regular daily flights on the Istanbul-Minsk-Istanbul route.
