Bellugi: in hundreds for funerals in Sant’Ambrogio – Sport

by time news

Over a hundred, including fans and sports enthusiasts, all with masks and spaced out, arrived in the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio, in Milan, to attend the funeral of Mauro Bellugi, former defender of Inter, Bologna, Napoli and of the national team, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 71. A long and respectful silence welcomed the entrance to the Basilica of the coffin, on which a Nerazzurri scarf was placed. There are many representatives of Inter history, from Massimo Moratti to the former push half-winger Evaristo Beccalossi, with the current club represented by Alessandro Antonello and Beppe Marotta, as well as by the director Piero Ausilio. Outside the Basilica, the fans of the Curva Nord also wanted to pay homage to the former Nerazzurri full-back-stopper with a banner: “Have a nice trip, Bellugi, Nerazzurri hero”.
