“For the past year I have been leading a campaign to save the State of Israel. It was a terrible year of a terrible government that endangered our country,” said Ben Gvir. “This year I am touring the whole country, and I hear about women who are harassing them, about Jews who are afraid to walk in the street. It was a difficult year when terrorism reared its head, and Jews were murdered again and again with an ax, a gun and a submachine gun. I am not in favor of generalizing all Arabs, but there are some of them Those who hate and want to destroy the country. I have a problem with them.”

“In this year, our national honor was trampled. Under the bad government, there was a fear of leaving the house. It was a year of national disgrace in which Israel was held captive by the Islamic movement,” he added and claimed. “We have lost sovereignty in the Negev and the Galilee, and if we don’t replace it we will return to lines 48. “I gave up the first place, the majority, the demand for equality, it wasn’t enough for him. Unlike Bezalel, I want to give space to religious Zionism of all kinds, as well as to the residents of the periphery,” he asserted in his words. “Unfortunately, Smotrich chose not to run together because he wants a list of classical religious people. I accept his desire to appeal to the electorate of Ayelet Shaked. But for this reason, after I tried in every way to reach unity and he refused concessions, I am announcing an independent run of Otzma Yehudit party”.

“Entire communities are waiting for us. It’s time to bring security to the streets, it’s time to restore national honor against the terrorists and their supporters,” he concluded. “The time has come to restore respect to the people of Israel. To the soldiers, to the police, to the farmers, to the self-employed, to the underprivileged – to all of us. Millions of citizens are waiting for a real and strong right-wing government. It’s time to give them an answer. It’s time for Jewish power.”
As I recall, the negotiations between Ben Gvir and Smotrich have stalled in recent weeks. Sources in Otzma Yehudit have been heard in recent days more desperate than ever, and told the Srogim: “There is a disconnection and no contacts, we understand that Smotrich showed Ben Gavir the door out.”
Next week, on August 23, the religious Zionist primaries will be held, and Smotrich in advance wanted to hold the negotiations with Ben Gabir only after them.
