Valencia midfielder highly regarded by the Eagles
With the squad still open, Benfica has midfielder André Almeida in high regard. Nevertheless, Record knows that signing the Valencia player is not a priority at this time, with less than a week remaining until the market closes in Portugal. Our newspaper understands that there have been talks and that the 24-year-old’s name has been put on the table. However, the Eagles are looking for another type of player, a creative one, while keeping in mind that the Spanish club is seeking around €20 million to part ways with the Portuguese under-21 international.
André Almeida, who has been on the Eagles’ radar for a long time, switched from V. Guimarães to Valencia for €8 million in the summer of 2022. The Minho club retained a 20% resale fee on any future transfer of the player, who was raised in the ranks of the conquerors.
