Alamari Djabi, a 16-year-old youth player at Benfica, was announced as a signing for Midtjylland. The midfielder had ended his contract with the Reds and has now signed until 2026 for the Danes.
Despite his young age, Djabi was already an important player in the eagles’ under-19 squad, as he was used in 34 games and scored five goals in 2022/23.
“This is a very interesting project for me and I am looking forward to developing myself as a player and as a person at a big club in Denmark”, he explained to the club’s media.
In Denmark, Alamara Djabi will be reunited with former Benfica player Franculino Djú, in a scenario that leaves him very satisfied: «It’s incredible and it’s something that makes me proud. I am looking forward to the fact that one day, possibly, we will play side by side in the Midtjylland shirt.”
