Amauri Sepúlveda: Exactly! It was a bit of a happy accident. I’ve always believed that you don’t fully understand your own expressions until much later. During rehearsals, we realized we could play and compose like we did in the early days, at a speed and energy we hadn’t tapped into in a while.
Time.news Editor: It must have been a surreal experience. Did the band feel like they were back in time while recording?
Amauri Sepúlveda: Very much so! It felt like we were revisiting our roots, both musically and emotionally. It’s amusing,really—I joked with the band that we were in shape again to create like we did back then!
