Benghazi Security Directorate announced that “Al-Qawarsha Police Station” revealed the details of arresting a person who assaulted a nurse in a hospital and blackmailed her by publishing her photos on social media.

The directorate said in a statement: “Following the receipt of information by members of the investigations department at Al-Qawarsha Police Station from a security officer at one of the hospitals located within the jurisdiction of Al-Qawarsha Police Station, stating that a person had attacked and threatened a nurse, members of the investigations department immediately went to the scene of the incident, but they did not find the wanted person.”

The statement added: “The nurse was summoned and filed a complaint against the wanted person, as she had a relationship with him for years and he began threatening to publish her photos if she did not go out with him to commit adultery. The investigation members were able to set up a tight ambush for him, arrest him and take him to the center.”

The statement continued: “Upon investigation, it was found that his name is A.A.Kh., born in 1987, of Libyan nationality. He confessed to what was attributed to him and stated that he wanted to marry her. Upon searching his phone, indecent photos and videos of them were found. All legal measures were taken against him and he was referred to the Public Prosecution.”
