Benjamin Levythe talented one Guatemalan actor known for his role as the detective Dante Torres in the serie Chicago PD Since 2022, he has been nominated again for the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 2024 Imagen Awards.
The Imagen Awards are awarded by the Imagen Foundationan organization dedicated to fostering and recognizing positive representations of Latinos in the entertainment industry. This year, they celebrate their 39th editionhighlighting 152 nominees in 30 categories. Among them, the talent of Guatemala shines with the nomination of Benjamin Levy.
The nominees
The list of nominees was announced on July 25 and in thein the category of Best Supporting Actor in a Television Dramathe Guatemalan is nominated alongside other prominent actors from television series on FOX, Apple TV+, FX and STARZ:

The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, September 8 at the Cultural and Arts Plaza in Los Angeles, California.
Second consecutive nomination
The chapín was also nominated in the 38th edition of the Imagen Awards, and at the gala held in December in Los Angeles, he was awarded the award for Best Supporting Actor in 2023. Benjamin Levy had previous appearances on Chicago PD, but it was not until 2022 that he was revealed as the new member of the Intelligence Unit led by Hank Voight. Since season 9, the Guatemalan has shared the screen with stars such as Marina Squerciati, LaRoyce Hawkins, Tracy Spiridakos, Patrick Flueger, Jason Beghe and Jesse Lee Soffer.
Previously, the Chapin native shared with Guatemala.com that the opportunity to be part of one of Dick Wolf’s acclaimed series came up years ago: “While I was filming a television series, I got a small audition for Chicago PD four years ago, and they had to arrest me and everything. I arrived in Chicago and filmed for three or four days. I remember that I gave so much of myself because the actors wanted to put handcuffs on me, and I wouldn’t let them. They tried and told me “no, but stay still a little because we have to put handcuffs on you.”[…]»
