‘Opposition is not to the Kitex company, but to the 20-20 movement. Sabu M Jacob has been used in the past to provoke out-of-state workers. Police should file a case against those who brought drugs to the workers’ camp. Equal responsibility in criminal cases in the workplace lies not only with the workers but also with the employer. The MP added that legal action should be taken against Sabu M Jacob, the owner of Kitex, for going ahead without recognizing the constitution and the legal system.
Twentyfour has received a remand report on the East Coast attack. According to the report, 50 people stopped the police vehicle. When police officials tried to prevent the conflict, the workers were bowled out when they tried to go out. The remand report states that the SHO was attacked with stones, sticks and deadly weapons, after which a group of other workers arrived. The number of people arrested in the case has risen to 150. Eight of those arrested led the attack. Police said an investigation is underway into the incident.

The incident took place around 12pm on Saturday night. Out-of-state workers at the KiteClass company performed Christmas carols inside the labor camp. Many of them were under the influence of alcohol. Meanwhile, there was a dispute between them. The dispute then spread to the road. Meanwhile, the locals also intervened. As the situation worsened, the police were informed. However, the workers unleashed violence against the Kunnathunadu inspector and his team who reached the spot. As the police retreated, the workers attacked the police jeeps. One vehicle was completely burned and two vehicles were hit and destroyed.
