Karim Benzema experienced an amazing day for him, when he won the Ballon d’Or and received worldwide recognition and compliments from all over. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez spoke with the star just before receiving the title and the video of the two talking before the ceremony in Paris was particularly entertaining.
Peres talked about that day when he arrived at the Frenchman’s house in order to convince him to come from Lyon and claimed: “He didn’t even offer me a drink of Coke.” He later turned to Benzema: “I think you should be dressed like this in your next game, with these shoes, because you can also play in a suit.”
The president of the European champions added: “He is exactly as he was 13 years ago, exactly as he was when I signed him.
