London: Kovid is back as a headache for the Wimbledon Grand Slam tournament. The current men’s singles runner – up has been replaced by Beretini Kovid, who withdrew from the tournament yesterday. The 26-year-old Beretini revealed on her Instagram account that Kovid was positive. Hours before the first-round match against Chile’s Christian Garr, it was revealed that Beretini was Kovid. Beretini was in self-isolation following a fever. Beretini was in excellent form to win the Stugart and Queens Club tournaments in preparation for Wimbledon. Wimbledon organizers have announced that Switzerland’s Elias Yamar will replace Beretini in the men’s singles event. On Monday, Croatian player Marin Cilic also withdrew from Wimbledon following Kovid.
