“Nasreddin – Family Festival“, organized by the embassies of Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Iran and Tajikistan in Germany, was implemented with the support of the Zehlendorf City Hall of Berlin and the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As Day.Az reports with reference to AZERTAC, at the festival, organized in the Zehlendorf City Hall, at a stand created with the support of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Germany and the Azerbaijan Cultural Center, detailed information about the history, culture, national-cultural heritage and traditions of our countries.

Diplomats from the mentioned countries and the mayor of the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district of Berlin spoke at the opening ceremony of the festival Maren SchellenbergChairman of the Education Committee of the Berlin City Parliament Sandra HalatbariHead of the Department of Media and Culture at the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jens Wagner emphasized the importance of such events for the development of cultural ties between our countries and peoples.

After the speeches, stands were examined, reflecting the national cultural heritage and traditions of the countries. At the festival, books about Molla Nasreddin published in different languages ​​were exhibited, presentations were made about the national cultures of the participating countries, and interesting board games were organized among the young participants.

During the organization of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Germany, members of the House of Azerbaijani Culture “Kharybulbul“Khayalya Chiftchi, Parvana Aslanova And Lala Mamedova informed the participants about the stand reflecting the national culture of Azerbaijan, talked about our country, and answered their questions. Students of the House of Culture presented Azerbaijani national costumes to the participants. The dance group “Rhythm” operating at the House of Culture “Kharybulbul” under the direction of Said and Aziza Ibrahimli performed the dance “Karabakh” to the audience.

The Embassy of Azerbaijan and other organizing countries awarded the festival winners with gifts reflecting national attributes.

Samples of Azerbaijani national cuisine were also presented to the event participants.
