The takeover candidates submitted their offers on Friday. The auctions begin.

Candidates for the takeover of M6 had until Friday at 4 p.m. to submit their offers to RTL Group, owner of M6. Offers for the moment non-binding, which must be used by Bertelsmann, the parent company of RTL Group, for “test the market“. The latter will probably organize a second round with some finalists.

Thomas Rabe, the managing director of Bertelsmann did not set a minimum price for this transaction. But he has already integrated the fact that he will not reach the amount proposed by Bouygues in May 2021. Since then, M6 shares have fallen sharply. Even if the renewed speculative interest in M6 has allowed the action to rebound on the stock market in recent days. However, the very tight schedule complicates the transaction.
