Former India captain Virat Kohli has achieved the best batting average in international T20. Kohli achieved this feat in yesterday’s match against Hong Kong. The player faced 44 balls in the match and remained unbeaten on 59 runs. Currently, Kohli has played 101 T20 matches and has 3,402 runs at an average of 50.77.

Kohli went past Pakistan wicketkeeper Muhammad Rizwan. Rizwan averages 50.14 from 57 matches. New Zealand’s Devon Conway (47.20 average in 23 matches), Pakistan captain Babar Azam (44.93 average in 75 matches) and India’s Manish Pandey (44.31 average in 39 matches) are in the next positions.

India won the match by beating Hong Kong by 40 runs. With two consecutive wins, India became the second team to enter the Super Four. India defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the first match. Afghanistan also reached Super Four earlier.

After losing the toss and batting, India scored 192 runs for the loss of two wickets in the stipulated over. Chasing a target of 193 runs, Hong Kong managed to score only 152 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.

Suryakumar Yadav (68 off 26 balls) was the top scorer for India while Kohli scored 59 off 44 balls.
