Best collection after Dangal; 1.40 Crores earned in Kochi multiplexes

Malayali audiences have been quick to accept and support South Indian films, Bollywood and foreign films alike. From Tamil-Kannada-Telugu films to Bollywood films and foreign films, Malayalis have fans. The collection from the Kerala box office is an example of that.

While Pathan is progressing in theaters with a historic achievement in Bollywood, Kochi is also gaining space in multiplexes. After Aamir Khan’s Dangal, Shahrukh’s Pathan has become the second Bollywood film to cross Rs 1.40 crore. Dangal collected 2.65 crores in Kochi multiplexes.

On the other hand, observers suggest that Pathan is expected to cross 900 crores in worldwide collection by the end of this week. The film is crossing 500 crores in India alone. According to Box Office India, the film collected around Rs 5.50 – 5.75 crore on Thursday.
