Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun said that BITAK is playing an important role in the industrial development of Bangladesh through the creation of trained manpower and employment. Started with the aim of providing necessary support to the industrial sector, it is currently providing training in various trades of the industry as per demand. To meet the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution, the organization is being made more contemporary and modern, and its activities are being expanded across the country.
He said these things at the inauguration ceremony of the 10-storey boys hostel building built under the project of Bangladesh Industrial Technical Assistance Center in Tejgaon of the capital on Monday (July 8).
The minister said that the present government has given special importance to industrial development. A lot of investment is coming to this country from abroad. Beta has huge potential in these contexts. In addition to creating skilled human resources, Betak can play an effective role in meeting the needs of adding modern equipment in various industries.
Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun said, ‘According to the instructions of the Prime Minister, all projects should be completed within a specified time. Prolonged project wastes both money and time.’ The minister thanked the project concerned for completing the construction of Boys Hostel in Bitak within the stipulated time.
The senior secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Zakia Sultana, spoke as a special guest at the event under the chairmanship of Bitat Director General Parimal Singhay.
He said, besides developing knowledge and skills, training increases our adaptability. Moreover, training leads to moral, social, institutional and personal development in addition to skill enhancement in specific subjects. And in this case, Betak can set an example as an ideal training institution.
