Good news for Betar Jerusalem. The plenum of the Budget Control Authority, which convened today (Sunday) to discuss the group’s matter, unanimously decided to grant an additional extension of time to set the budget for next season, until next Sunday, 24.7 at 12:00. This means that the yellow-blacks have another week to settle the sale of the club and stay in the league.
A statement issued by the control stated that “the control will pass on to the group the real budget data, including references to the gaps that exist between the budget items presented by the group and the amounts approved by the control. “If the data is not received in full by Sunday, and as long as the data obtained does not satisfy the chairman of the control for the approval of the team budget, this will automatically lead to the relegation to the national league on Sunday, without the need for another decision by the budget control authority.”
It was further stated: “In accordance with section 18B (1): Anyone who considers himself aggrieved by the decision of the plenum of the authority may submit to the presidency of the Supreme Court a request for leave to appeal within 48 hours from the date of the decision of the plenum of the authority. Given leave to appeal, the presidency of the Supreme Court will determine the composition of the members of the Supreme Court, who will hear the appeal and see the grounds for requesting leave to appeal as grounds for appeal. For the avoidance of doubt, this decision can be appealed within 48 hours from today. “
