DAny way you look at it, kakapo is an anomaly of nature. Its dimensions, first of all. Its size – 60 centimeters long as an adult – places it among the largest parrots in the world. Above all, its weight – up to 4 kilograms – breaks the competition. We must say that he is the only one in this big family who should not steal. On the other hand, with strong legs, the New Zealand horse is capable of covering many kilometers in a day. Or more precisely one night, since during the day, the “parrot owl”, the first name given to it by European explorers, sleeps.
His uniqueness does not end there. Its life expectancy is close to 90 years and some individuals have reached 120 years. The record attributed to the slow basic production is also.
