The Contini Art Gallery presents a solo exhibition by ES, dedicated to the two jewelery lines by Riccardo Contini “Volteggiando, tra Tempo e Materia” and “Eclissi, tra Tempo e Materia”, next Thursday 19 October at 6pm, at the Aimo Room Concept Store in Lugano, Switzerland. This creative reality incorporates the dedication to the Spirituality of Nature and the Great Mystery that generates and accompanies it, the passion for the Natives of North America and in general for the Natives of the Earth of every continent, ancestral bearers of true wisdom and knowledge.
The ES identity originates from the psychoanalytic vision – Id, Ego, Superego – and reworks it in a holistic key. The ES takes a stand against the analytical approach that represents the modern and supposedly evolved society in which we live. Each element of creation is therefore understood as an equal and fundamental piece in the universal vision: Tree, Rock, Spider and Man, despite being different from each other, are equally important and deeply linked. Free from pre-established dogmas, ES is instinctive, powerful and introspective in its ideal pursuit of beauty, designing unique pieces that reflect the founder’s vision. The collections offer unique pieces: precious jewels inspired by the Spirit of Nature aimed at a public interested in wearing the profound and universal thought present in these creations, thanks to an attractive design with native, tribal, primordial, but always innovative inspirations.
The protagonist of the first collection is the Arrow, symbol of Peace and cosmic union. Once fired, the arrow takes on a swirling movement in the air and unites Time and Matter in an incessant dialogue, giving life to moments of rare beauty in which Nature tangibly acts on the surfaces that welcome its work. It is symbolically that ES chooses to use only Fairtrade certified ethical gold, coming from a traceable supply chain, which guarantees the rights of miners’ cooperatives and reduces the environmental impact by respecting the extraction territory. The same gold for which the natives were exterminated now becomes a symbol of union, reflection and hope.
It is ES who wants to take care of every aspect of the creation process, trying to cause minimal environmental impact, from the manufacturing of the jewelery itself to the packaging. The packaging, one of a kind, is handmade in terracotta to accommodate ES’ precious jewels. Each jewel expresses a symbolic understanding of Mother Earth, which modern humanity is often no longer able to decipher; like us, who are so small and far from the sense of synergy with creation. We seek the sky without looking at the Earth, we seek the interior without looking next to us.
