The government is considering Bevco MD’s recommendation to open 175 new bars to ease congestion. If the recommendation is fully accepted, there will be 253 more bars in addition to the existing ones. With this, there will be 562 liquor outlets across the state. There are currently 306 bars for Bavco and Consumerfed.

Anti-Drug Day is celebrated to spread the message against drug use and illicit trafficking. The United Nations General Assembly observes June 26 as World Anti-Drug Day in December 1987.
