Bezeq’s VP of Technology has been appointed CEO of Gilat Telecom – Techtime

Itzik Ben Eliezer will replace Assaf Rosenhak, who has run the company for the past 3 years. Gilat Telecom provides satellite and fiber optic connectivity services, mainly in Africa. Its revenues in the first nine months of 2021 totaled $ 39.5 million

Gilat Telecom announced this morning the appointment of Itzik Ben Eliezer to the position of CEO of the company. Ben Eliezer will replace Assaf Rosenhak, who has served in the position for the past two years and, according to the company’s announcement, will continue to serve as a “significant board member.” For the past three years, Ben Eliezer has served as Bezeq’s Chief Technology Officer. Prior to that, he managed Bezeq Online and Bezkom and also served as Bezeq International’s Business Development Manager. From 2010-2015 he served as CEO of Xfone.

Satcom provides satellite and fiber-optic connectivity services to telecommunications operators primarily in the black African countries, its main target market. In the first nine months of 2021, the company’s revenues totaled $ 39.5 million, compared to $ 41.5 million in the same period in 2020. Most of the company’s revenue, about $ 29 million, came from Africa.
