The telecom operator had cut the signal from Altice Media’s ten antennas since last summer.
Ten local channels in six years, including six inaugurated in just over two years. Since the launch of BFM Paris in 2016, Altice Media, the parent company, has greatly expanded its regional television network. Last season, thanks to the addition of BFM Alsace and BFM Normandie, nearly 6 million French people in total were informed via the antennas of BFM Regions, according to the “local TV” study by Médiamétrie. This represents more than 900,000 additional viewers over one year, an increase of 19%, welcomed BFMTV. The progression on digital is even stronger: the sites and applications record 14.6 million visits on average per month, which represents a leap of 161% compared to the same period (June-September) a year earlier.
