BFS moved the eternal derby of “Gerena” to please “Levski”. They write this in a position against the football union from CSKA. The management of the “Reds” added that they will appeal the decision of the BFS for the derby with “Levski”.

As is known, yesterday the football union decided to play the first eternal derby at the stadium of the “blues”. And the rematch from the regular season should be at “Vasil Levski”, where the “reds” host, but without “Levski” supporters.

Here is what CSKA wrote:

Position against the decision of the Bulgarian Football Union
And let the old song sound in a new voice. This is how we can summarize the latest decision of the BFS, made in an old tertype, to determine the Eternal Derby to be played at Gerena without an away campaign. We have explained why this reaction is unsustainable many times in recent months. We will say it briefly again – football is for the people, the derby is for the fans.
Yes, we realize that these same fans can mess up accounts in the upper echelons of football power, causing upheavals leading to resignations. But is this the way to punish them?! By taking away from them one of the few remaining meaningful matches in Bulgaria, enjoying the highest popularity. We believed that the new authority, claiming objectivity, despite the obvious proximity to certain teams, would at least initially and ostensibly try to follow a line of change and make decisions in favor of football. Obviously not.
The policy of BFS continues to be anti-CSKA. We cannot think otherwise, given the fact that the Football Union not only does not take into account our categorical position regarding the derby, but even violates its own regulations with one goal – to please Levski at a time when Gerena is jumping sharply against the judges. According to Art. 29, paragraphs 3 and 4 of the regulation of the BFS for the championships, matches between CSKA and “Levski” are played only at “Vasil Levski” stadium or at their own stadium without a visiting team ONLY with a protocol signed by the management of BOTH clubs. Well, we won’t surprise you if we tell you that there is no such protocol.
Beyond regulations – let’s look at the glossary. “Force majeure” – an unforeseen, extraordinary situation. Given the fact that Andrea Bocelli’s concert at Vasil Levski St. has been known since March 6, would the BFS explain what exactly is the contingency here? It seems that the Union does not have the skills and capacity to do its job or on the other hand, they deliberately do not want to do it, which brings us back to the beginning of the paragraph – the anti-CSKA policy of the “blue” management of the football headquarters. Let’s remember about the supposedly fair punishments, which, however, only we receive. We will recall only the last two: Busato was suspended for 5 games with a fictitious review of the appeal; they imposed an absurd and elaborate penalty on us for matches without an audience. Allegedly three home games, but in the meantime an unclear number of away games, which in turn hurts the host clubs financially. Regarding our sanctions, the BFS strictly follows the rules to the last letter, and now they decide to close their eyes to an entire clearly described article of their regulation.
And last but not least – the decision of the BFS regarding the Eternal Derby had to be made after discussion of the Sports and Technical Commission headed by another “blue” figure. When, how and under what circumstances was the decision finally made?! Let’s we will answer you – quietly without any transparency.
Well, we don’t want to be bad prophets, but let’s hope that such decisions in the future do not lead to new excesses and resignations, which are far from happening quietly.
In conclusion, we would like to inform the “red” community that CSKA will appeal the decision to the Appeals Commission of the BFS. Will there be an effect, or will the old song continue?! We’re about to find out.
