Vivacom is one of the few successful examples of complete transformation
from a state-owned monopolist into a leading modern telecom. The company achieves impressive success as a result of colossal investments in innovation and rapid development and cutting-edge technologies aimed at the ever-growing needs of consumers. To build a 5G network with 85% coverage (2) of the population and with a planned expansion to 90% by the end of 2026, Vivacom has invested over BGN 1 billion in the mobile network alone. Looking ahead to the digital world, the company is already considering the possibility of implementing 6G in 2030 and is the first in Bulgaria and among the first in the world to test 5.5G with impressive results.
Vivacom’s optical network is the largest in the country
and according to Vivacom data, it covers 1.5 million addresses. EON – with upgraded functionalities rivaling those of the streaming giants and now with enhanced artificial intelligence, has changed the way users watch content on over 1,000,000 devices anywhere, anytime in the first half of 2024 alone.
As a result of the investments of over BGN 44 million for satellite communications
Vivacom is among the 10 fastest growing business satellite operators in the world.
Today, the company broadcasts over 700 TV channels on 4 continents and offers satellite Internet even to Antarctica.
During these 15 years, the telecom established itself as one of the leading partners of the local government, and with its intelligent solutions created opportunities for high-speed digitization and modernization of over 130 municipalities in Bulgaria.
Vivacom has contributed over €2 billion to the state budget in the form of taxes and fees, which is equivalent to, for example, the annual cost of educating all students in primary and secondary education for 2024.
Behind all these achievements are thousands of hours of effort by a dedicated team of over 5,000 employees, almost 40% of whom have been with the company for 15 years. Vivacom is the largest employer in the telecommunications sector and one of the four largest in the country.
