Jhunjhunu: Under the Krishi Unnati Yojana, the Bhajanlal government of Rajasthan will give rewards of up to 50 thousand to the farmers. This honor will be given to those farmers and livestock farmers who have done some better work or innovation in the related field. For the award of 2024-25, in this scheme, the government will give honors at the Panchayat, district and state level in three categories this year along with giving different amounts as reward.

There will be three levels of award, prize money is 10, 25 and 50 thousand rupees

In this scheme, awards will be given by the Agriculture Department at the state, district and Panchayat Samiti level. In this, the best progressive farmers of various agricultural enterprises will be honored at the Panchayat, district and state level. It is being told that every selected farmer will be given a cash prize of Rs 50 thousand at the state level, Rs 25 thousand at the district level, and Rs 10 thousand at the Panchayat Samiti level.

Applications sought from farmers for the award till August 31
Agriculture and ex-officio project director Dr. Vijaypal Lamba says that applications on the prescribed format have been sought from progressive farmers by August 31 for being honored at Panchayat Samiti, District. On receipt of applications, the committee will select the farmers and they will be honored in a ceremony organized by the government on the date announced.

These innovations will be honored
Farmers who have already been honored in this scheme need not apply again because those who have been honored once will not be honored again. Under the selection process, five farmers each will be selected at each Panchayat Samiti level for innovation in different fields and will be given honorarium. It has been told that the selected areas of innovation include agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, dairy, organic farming, and innovative farming methods.

First Panchayat, then District and from these the selection for the honour will be done at the state level
From among the farmers selected at each Panchayat Samiti level in each district of the state, 10 selected best farmers (2 best farmers of each activity) will be selected for district level honour. At the same time, from among the selected farmers from all the districts of the state, 10 best farmers will be selected for state level honour.

Other farmers can also apply for this honor. According to Assistant Director of Agriculture Department, Jhunjhunu, Shish Ram, if a farmer is considered worthy of this honor by the farmers or their elected representatives, institutions, departments, or any other person, then the application form along with his name, work details, photos and CD of the activity can be submitted to the Agriculture Supervisor, Assistant Agriculture Officer, or Assistant Director Agriculture Extension in the prescribed format.
