Film director Bharathiraja, 81, was admitted to MGM Health Care Hospital, Chennai due to old age and lung damage. In this situation, he did not return home without money and the news spread that he was in the hospital.
Actor Manoj, son of director Bharathiraja denied this in an interview, ‘Bharathiraja’s health is stable and healthy. He said that the reports that he was in the hospital without means of money were wrong.
Doctors Swamikannu and Sabanayagam who treated them said: Bharathiraja came for treatment with severe lung damage. He has recovered with continuous treatment. Even after returning home, he should continue to rest, they said. Bharathiraja returned home yesterday evening.
