Bharti Airtel has teamed up with Apple to offer exclusive deals for Apple Music and Apple TV+ to customers in India later this year, the telecommunications company announced on Tuesday.
Apple TV+ will be included in Airtel’s video streaming service Xstream with premium Wi-Fi and postpaid plans, and users of the music streaming service Wynk Premium will have access to offers from Apple Music, the Indian company said.
Bharti Airtel did not disclose the value of the partnership or the cost of the plans.
According to a report by Business Insider, Airtel will exit the music business after the deal, shut down its music app Wynk, and take over all its employees.
Airtel did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment on the report.
This comes at a time when Disney and Reliance are seeking approval from Indian antitrust authorities for their $8.5 billion merger, which aims to create the largest entertainment conglomerate in India.
