Bhopal : Madhya Pradesh Government’s ambitious Bhopal Metro plan is continuously moving ahead, in this sequence the braking system of Bhopal Metro Rail was successfully tested on Wednesday. During this trial, the Metro Rail was run 5 times from Subhash Nagar Depot to Rani Kamlapati Railway Station. The train was driven at a speed of 10 to 25 kilometers per hour and the brakes were applied at different speeds.
Let us tell you that during the test, the braking system of Metro Rail performed successfully on all parameters. This test was of the metro rail in which passengers will travel. 6 more such tests will be conducted. Till now the metro rail has been run for testing for 150 kilometers.

In the next phase, the metro rail will run up to 3000 kilometers with passengers at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour. This will be the final test after which the Metro Rail will be considered ready for operation. A total of 27 trains have been ordered for Bhopal Metro. Till now 5 trains have reached Bhopal and have been kept at Subhash Nagar depot. The next consignment of trains is expected to arrive in July.
