Bhopal: You must have heard news of electricity theft every day, but you would not have heard such names which include influential people, big officers, big leaders. These people are not paying the bills intentionally. The bills of these defaulters are not small but have exceeded one lakh. Regarding this, the Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company has made public the list of these influential defaulters.
The names of 221 defaulters who have not paid bills of Rs 1 lakh or more have been printed in this list. The interesting thing is that the names of many high ranking officials including MLAs, former ministers, police officers are included in this list.
Names of ministers, leaders and officials included: The name of Congress MLA Arif Masood is also included in the list issued by the power company. Masood is an MLA from Bhopal Central seat. Many names including former minister Rajya Vardhan Singh, SP Headquarters Bhopal, CMD Electricity Company, Municipal Corporation and its various branches, District Collector’s Office, Municipal Corporation Commissioner, West Central Railway, MBM College, SP CBI, Gandhi Medical College, Joint Director of Gas Relief Bhopal Smart City, Geetanjali Government College have been included in this list.
Names of everyone from businessmen to builders have been made public. The special thing is that the names of not only politicians and ministers but also big builders and directors of private companies are included among the defaulters who have not paid the electricity bills in the city. These people have not paid the bills for a long time. The list of defaulters includes names of Sanjeev Nayak of Nikunj Heights, Devki Builder, Ritu Gyanchandani of Vandana Homes, Ashwin Industry located in Govindpura, Akash Virani of Kamalchandani Industry, Rajesh Fabrication Industry Govindpur, apart from Indus Tower Limited and others.

The electricity company has released the list of defaulters in three categories. The total number of defaulters in all three lists is around 1 lakh 43 thousand 759. This list includes the names of defaulters from one thousand to 10 thousand. Whereas, the second list includes the names of defaulters from 10000 to 1 lakh and the third list includes the names of defaulters with more than 1 lakh. The electricity department has also shared these lists on the internet platform.
