The Municipal Works Directorate (DOM) made public the bidding process on the “Reconstruction of the Municipal Market No. 1 of Santa Ana and surrounding municipalities”, in which national and international construction companies are invited to submit offers under the method of acquisition called “Single Envelope Bidding Process”.

This obeys the guidelines of the World Bank, whose Loan 8948-SV provides the funds for this project, explained official sources through the Executing Unit of the Resilient Local Economic Development Project (PDELR).

Interested companies can participate in the “First Information Meeting” that will be held through Microsoft Teams on August 30, 2023 at 9:00 a.m., El Salvador time, where they can ask questions about the bidding documents. published in Comprasal www.comprasal.gob.sv and the DOM procurement site and, later, the field visit will be made on September 1 at 10:00 am, leaving the Santa Ana City Hall.

The deadline to submit bids is October 2, 2023 at 10:00 am and then the bids received will be opened in the presence of the companies that wish to participate.

The works to be carried out consist of the reconstruction of the municipal market No. 1 of Santa Ana (buildings 1 and 2) that were affected by the “level III structural fire”, according to the report of the Ministry of the Interior, which occurred on March 11, 2021. , when nearly 1,000 tenants lost their products and premises.
