US President Joe Biden said his administration is making progress towards reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, 9 months into the conflict in the Strip.
Biden said during a press conference at the White House after the NATO summit: “The United States has been working for months to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, return the hostages to their homes, and pave the way for peace and stability in the Middle East. .”
He explained, “These are difficult and complex issues. There are still gaps that need to be filled. We are making progress. The trend is positive. I am determined to complete this agreement and end the war this, which must end now.”
He continued: “There are many things I wish I could convince the Zionist entity to do, but the bottom line is that we have a chance now. It’s time to end the war this.”
